 I bought this laptop almost a month ago. From the first time I saw this machine, till now, the beauty yet simplicity of it still amazes me. It has somewhat of a minimalist design while still being totally functional which I am a big fan of. I am a computing student and this machine meets my needs. The glass on it is just beautiful. I have gotten so many compliments on it and everyone always comments on the amazing clarity of the screen and how crisp the speakers are. I'm not a big fan of Beats audio but wow, it does impress me on this laptop. It's louder and clearer than my friends' HP Envy 6-1110us 15.6-Inch Sleekbook which also has beats audio. The lit Beats audio symbol on the right side of the palm rest helps to locate the little volume control button on the side easily in low light or darkness. I haven't used any of the ports on it to date besides the charging port and the USB 3.0 port which is pretty fast. The mute button on the side is also pretty handy. Also, the USB port on the charging brick is genius. I use it to charge my iPad and phones. The laptop does run a bit hot sometimes but the HP CoolSense kicks in immediately after it is shifted, even in the slightest way. This laptop is very quiet. The radiance keyboard is awesome in low light. I usually just switch it off if I'm not in the dark. This machine boots up in record time. If exiting sleep mode, even faster. The thin bezel is awesome. Viewing angles are ok as well. The sensors they put in to the left of the camera are really responsive. I used it in the dark, leaving the laptop alone for a bit and then when the keyboard dimmed, I passed my hand in front of it once and it lit back up and so did the screen. I thought for sure it wouldn't. Most people find the lid being a bit difficult to open and I agree that it is, but also, I'm very strict about people touching my laptop so this is actually a plus for me. I learned how to get it open easily and I show the people who have permission to touch it how to do so as well. It benefits me being hard to open. I love the chiclet keyboard. It's pretty awesome. The image pad, with some tweaking, was easily one of the best I have ever used.
